VMware Virtual Appliance

The NullBound Malware Prevention System is supported on all production virtual environments. The virtual environment only needs to support the basic hardware requirements.
| Login to the VMware Virtual Appliance with the username admin and password nullbound. | ||

| Enter a new password for the admin user. | ||

| Enter a new password for the root user. | ||

| Select either DHCP or Static IP addressing. | ||

| Enter a hostname to identify the VMware Virtual Appliance. | ||

| After confirming the settings, the installation is complete. | ||

| When the installation completes, direct your web browser to http://ip.of.computer (Example: http://192.168.1.20) | ||

| Once connected to the web interface you will be prompted by a few questions to get the NullBound Malware Prevention System configured properly. | ||
| Next, you must ensure the system is configured on a managed switch so it can monitor the network traffic. See the network deployment guide for more information. | ||
| Try directing your web browser to http://test.nullbound.com. If the system is operating correctly, you should not be able to connect. After failing to connect you should see an alert for NullBound.Definition.Test in the log. | ||
