UBUNTU LINUX
The NullBound Malware Prevention System is supported on several versions of Linux. This particular
package will work on both Debian and Ubuntu. Both Debian and Ubuntu need only be standard installations
and the NullBound Malware Prevention System does not need any special configuration.
Recommended Hardware Requirements
These are the recommended hardware requirements per 8000 computers.
Processor: 2.0 Ghz
Memory: 512 MB
Network: 1 NIC
Installation

Edit your sources.list file to reflect our repository and enable the universe repository.
- Type nano /etc/apt/sources.list
- Add the line deb http://nullbound.com debrepo/
- Ensure the universe repository is uncommented.
- Type sudo aptitude update
- Type sudo aptitude install nullbound
- When prompted by the installation, answer Yes

When the installation finishes you may direct your web browser to
http://ip of computer:10000 (Example: http://192.168.1.1:10000).

Once connected to the web interface you will be prompted by a few questions to get
the NullBound Malware Prevention System configured properly.

After successfully answering the configuration questions, it is now ready to operate
in your environment. You may now go into the System Configuration page and start the
MalFilter, WebFilter, and HostFilter services as necessary.

Try directing your web browser to http://test.nullbound.com. If the system is operating
correctly, you should be unable to connect. After failing to connect you should see an alert
for NullBound.Definition.Test in the log.
