LINUX SELF INSTALL
The NullBound Malware Prevention System is supported on several versions of Linux. The
Linux distributions need only be standard installations and the NullBound Malware Prevention
System does not need any special configuration or packages.
Recommended Hardware Requirements
These are the recommended hardware requirements per 8000 computers.
Processor: 2.0 Ghz
Memory: 512 MB
Network: 1 NIC
Installation

Install your choice of Linux distribution on the selected computer or server.

Download the NullBound Malware Prevention System Linux Self Install by typing
wget http://www.nullbound.com/Download/NullBoundMPS_NGP.bin.

While logged in as root, execute the following command: chmod +x NullBoundMPS_NGP.bin.
This will allow the installation to be executed. Next type ./NullBoundMPS_NGP.bin to
start the installation.

When the installation finishes you may direct your web browser to
http://ip of computer:10000 (Example: http://192.168.1.1:10000).

Once connected to the web interface you will be prompted by a few questions to get
the NullBound Malware Prevention System configured properly.

After successfully answering the configuration questions, it is now ready to operate
in your environment. You may now go into the System Configuration page and start the
MalFilter, WebFilter, and HostFilter services as necessary.

Try directing your web browser to http://test.nullbound.com. If the system is operating
correctly, you should be unable to connect. After failing to connect you should see an alert
for NullBound.Definition.Test in the log.
